Why are cops stereotyped as cheaters

I am married to one for 9years and he has never cheated me and i hope to god he never will(I'll kill him) lol. he is a great man to me and a great father to our children.

Well I am friends with a cop and I have never heard anything about them being more likely to cheat than any other men. But I have heard that they tend to have a high rate of divorce because they tend to have a hard time seperating work from home life. They tend to use the same authority at home and have the same stern attitude at home as they do at work.

Because so many of them do it. It is a result of too much stress at work. They need a breather and tend to go to strip clubs or find an interest in someone else. If they have a family, they are less likely to go straight home after work because there is a lot of stress there.

because they have this demeanor to withhold at work and i think most cops are always cops, people read them as trying to hide something when in truth explaining their self is not necessary apart of the job. it spills over in to personal life

it's the power / authority thing. Not all abuse it, but it's easy to. Same thing with really rich men or CEOs, I'm sure they don't all cheat, but there is that stereotype

Perhaps like other high stress jobs - military, security, etc. it takes a special woman to deal with the men's reaction to it.

you know you get with someone because he or she is the best and we keep them because they're still the best
How do you determine if they're still the best ? the same way you did when you first met?? there you have it....cheaters

Because a lot of them think they're invincible because they carry a badge and a gun. I have numerous friends that are cops and you're right, a lot of them cheat because they think "they're cops",,,,,,whatever !!

well i never heard of that stereotype but my sisters bf was about to marry her and they have a kid together and he just left her for some other woman he was seeing so im assuming its true. i would never date a cop now.
