Depends on whether you're growing a pine, or a cypress. Some pines will grow faster than others, same with cypress. Do you know what kind of tree you have?

Eucalyptus are NOT suitable for hardwood timber. Their wood is very brittle and develops enormous cracks. The wood can't even be used for railroad ties.
