Control. Some people struggle with feelings of inadequacy and weakness, and combat them by taking control of others, molding their personalities, bending their wills, etc. This is by no means exclusive to guys, either.

who knows, I've been trying to figure that one out for years. I think men that do that are insecure and have to belittle women cause it makes them feel powerful and in control of something cause they have no control of themselves. if a man is doing that to you-lose him before it gets violent!!

Humiliate women? Nothing. If I were to make fun of my wife, I would only be putting myself down.
However, it's fun to make fun of feminist because they are stupid and build their platform on lies.
