Yes, I am not so shallow that my friendships are based on how much money someone has.

Wealth has nothing to do with how you get along with someone. A persons marries "for richer or poorer", and true friendships are the same. Otherwise, if a rich friend looses the wealth and you don't consider that person a friend anymore because of it, then it's your loss and you never were a real friend to that person. You were only out to get what you could from that person. It's called deceit and selfishness. As a friend, I would offer them a place to stay until they got on their feet, make sure they didn't go hungry by giving what food I could, keep my eyes out for a suitable job, hold their hand, pray for and with them, and let them cry on my shoulder,

were they cool to you when they had "everything", were they respectful and attentive. Were they truely friends? I don't think it should matter how much they have, so long as they aren't asking you for anything. But if they do, and they took care of you before, it would mean alot if you looked out for them when they are down. Nothing big, just continuing to be a good friend.

Yes I would... but most of the people I've known don't value friendship that much and probably wouldn't. Sometimes if you take away all the people who aren't true friends, there's nobody left...they're hard to come by.

Friendships should be based on love and trust and not on material things. So yes, I would still be their friend.

aaahhh, yeah! I don't like a person just because they have money or fancy things. I probably would only stop liking them if they lost everything because they committed a heinous crime.
