why don't agencies ever get plus sized models. Not every big woman wants to be looking at a skinny woman knowing they probably can't fit the outfit the skinny models have on. I mean I know that you can search for plus sized dresses but we want to see our big women doing it big too.

because some people don't actually want big people on their stage and to me our outfits are getting better and better. I am big also. To me you should be able to show how you feel. Skinny women and big women are competitive and I feel that we should all be equal whether big or not. There are a lot of people who LOVE BIG WOMEN AND I KNOW THAT FOR A FACT

Lots of agencies get plus sized models. Its actually pretty popular and competitive now. ANTM has even had some plus sized models on their show. Our society doesn't frown upon plus sized woman. Fashion industries are even adjusting to it and hiring plus sized models for their clothes. You can't expect for the runway to change though. Very thin, tall girls is usually the requirement for runway and that's one of the only industries that an extremely tall and skinny girl can get into and show off their physique. So please, don't have a fit over that. I do agree that plus sized women should be seen in print more, but you can't change the whole fashion industry or the skinny women will feel left out and have nothing to fit them. I know this because I am a size 0 (naturally) and I can never find anything that fits because its usually made to fit a bigger women's physique.

EDIT: Oh and hob or whatever your name is, not all models are digitally changed. I hate that video that they show in health class that makes people think that all models are fake and they all starve themselves. Its wrong. Some people are naturally like that. Not everyone gains 10 pounds over thanksgiving. Some women have a high metabolism.

You know, I've always wondered the same thing. AND@Mark R. Someone DOES like fat chicks. Obviously not you. I know A LOT of nice, decent men who want a woman with "meat on her bones" and not some chick that will fall apart if u hold her hand. I just think all this bullsh*t is stupid. About what u have to look like in order to have a certain job such as modeling. I think plus sized women should be modeling to because their are other plus sized women in the world who want to, and probably have the money to wear top-notch designers, but they can't ALL BECAUSE OF WHAT SOCIETY SAYS. BUT BACK TO U@MARK R. STOP BEING SO F*CKING SHALLOW AND FEED UR B*TCH A COUPLE OF STEAKS!!

There are a lot of successful plus size models out there. Obvioiusly, they are not wearing the top designers, but the world is much more accepting and plus size models have come a long way.

Why not subscribe to plus size magazines...you would see that it's a big industry. A big applause...as it used to not exist.

Queen Latifa is a prime example...she's all over clothing, makeup, etc. And she is beautiful.

I will get the thumbs down for this but I have been through worse.
You ask why? Well the truth is studies are shown on what sells and sex is the number 1 seller .. Now I know that big women need loving too. BUT There is a reason and psychological studies shown on how to create commercials that sell and larger women do not do it.
Not trying to be mean and the companies that make these commercials are not either but they have a product to sell and do what needs to be done to sell their product.

Thanks

ok what mark R. said is not true. I totally agree with you. but the models are not all skinny and stuff. tecnology is what makes them skinny. i saw a movie on it once in health class. but yes i totally agree and someone should do something to fix that situation because it can make a TON of people feel bad.

You know what?
i agree with you %100.
And because I have an essay due December 3 about 1 example of a flaw in our society, I'll give your example, and I'll mention your name the website and everything, so they know it's yours.

But, kudos to the notion that you had!

People don't wanna look at sickly stick thin models but hunny we don't wanna look at big fat heffers with fat rolls walking up and down the runway. It would ruin what fashion is all about!

and besides fat people are lazy, if they want to become a model they gotta get up off their big asss and learn when to put the fork down.
