YEs. Minutes are used when the phone is in operation. Toll free or long distance doesn't matter.

Toll free means its a free call, land line or cell phone. However, they do take out minutes if you call from a cell phone. Unless you have free nights and weekends or what not then minutes do get deducted. Calling your carriers customer service line is free of charge and no minutes deducted.

Yes. It's toll free only if you call from a land line, not if you use cellular air time.

If u r on a prepaid service or if you are on a plan... on cell phones, u wont get charged for a prepaid number if its far far away... but you WILL be charged the minutes or the rates of ur minutes by ur mobile company if u call! If ur phone has unlimited calling, temporarily, then its total free! SO in short... if ur in newyork for eg and ur tollfree no is in l.a, u WONT be charged for long distance BUT WILL be charged for ur local minutes!!

yes. Unless you have a plan with a period of unlimited (i.e. weekend) minutes. If you had unlimited weekend minutes you could call all day Sat or Sun.
