I suppose so...but with a lot of the people I have lost, I tend to think of them more around the anniversary of their passing....I know that may sound a little strange. But since one of my great-aunts passed away on January 2nd (1995), I am sure I will be thinking of her over the Christmas period.

My father passed away several years ago. Every year at Christmas, I buy one of those little pine trees in a flower pot that are about a foot tall. They normally have some kind of Christmas decorations on them.I think they are meant to be holiday centerpieces. Then I go back to the automotive section at walmart and you can buy a strand of battery operated Christmas lights for your car, I put these lights on the tree and every Christmas Eve at just about dark, I go to the cemetery and put this tree on my fathers grave, turn it on and just let it burn all night till it burns out.You would not believe how good it makes you feel to be able to include all our loved ones into the holidays.

I do remember lost loved ones at Christmas. And I also remember lots of past Christmases.

Certainly. I always have fond memories of the good days with my loved ones. The holidays were always special, and even in hard times, my parents always seemed to sacrifice to make our Christmas a joyous one.

All my kin are accounted for, none are lost. I do miss my Mother who passed away last year. She loved Christmas like I do

This sounds like someone is facing a holiday without a loved one. Yes, I do remember them. My Mother, my Dad, my Sister. We were once a bustling house on the holiday. Our home was filled with delightful aroma of good food and the music of laughter. Now it's just me. It hurts, I do remember them, I always will. Now I fill the house with MY good food and MY laughter and anyone who wants to join me is welcome and you know what? I am NEVER alone. God bless, good luck, and peace to you my friend.

I have a dove which was on my grandma's casket spray that I use as an ornament on my Christmas tree. It goes on top next to the star (except this year-it's taking a break so the kitties don't "kill" it).
