I have never tried it, someone said it tastes like butterscotch is this true?

You must try pumpkin pie. It is delicious! Pumpkin pie is custardy with a warm cinnamon-nutmeg-allspice flavor. Pumpkin pie's only similarity to butterscotch is its rich, warm sweetness, as opposed to the coolness of lemon or watermelon. I also love pumpkin cheesecake with rum drizzle.

It has a custard consistency and it has a taste all of it's own.
If there is a problem with Pumpkin Pie not tasting good it must be blamed on the cook.
It is absolutely the most delicious pie, if it is made right.
It is simple to make but you must use Libby's pumpkin in the can.
Follow the directions on the can.
ABSOLUTELY DON'T USE THE PREPARED MIX!!!!
Serve it with whipped cream.
For 2 pies.use:
1pint of whipping cream
1/4 cup of sugar
2 teaspoons of vanilla.
Whip the cream until it is slightly thickened and add vanilla and slowly add sugar.
Beat until it forms stiff peaks.
Do not over beat it or it will turn to butter.
UMM so good. I can't wait for Thanksgiving.

Yum it is good. No, I don't think it tastes like butterscotch at all. I gag on butterscotch. You should try it with plenty of whipped cream!
