It depends on what you did and how often you do things that require apologies. Is this a repeated pattern? There comes a time when enough is enough no matter how sincere an apology is.
The best thing is always to be up front, honest and sincere. Show love and compassion and that you value the other person. It may take some work if you did something that proves otherwise.
Think about what you would want if the tables were turned. What would you accept and forgive?

Do something to show the person you really are sorry!
like.... hire one of those bears that goes around with balloons and gives people hugs! lol... or....
write them a poem.... but only if its a girl that you want to forgive you... cuz that would be weird if you wrote a guy a poem.. lol.. anyways....
oh you could take them to a baseball or football game or something and ask them to run one of those personal messages (asking for the persons forgiveness) across those big score board things they have there... haha... good luck! :-)

Hate to say thi but only God can truly forgive ones actions. The best you can hope for is this other person can overlook this and give you another try, but you better dig deep depending on what you did. Flowers, cards, dinner is a good place to start here and good luck

Forget about it! Women will come back around when and only when THEY are ready. If you've already said you're sorry, Don't lower yourself and keep repeating it. She'll loose all respect for you.

WOW! That's a tough one considering we don't know what the regrettable thing is that you've done. Did you accidentally step on someones foot or did you do the unthinkable (i.e. rape someones child, cheat on the person who would have loved you forever, beat up your mother)???
We need something more, please.....

never ever do it again, be sincere, and don't expect overnight forgiveness. be consistent in your actions as you move in the right direction. if you cheated, then don't give her any reason to suspect you again. if you lied, then go out of your way to be upfront and honest. keep it consistent and she will see that you have really changed.

well it depends on what you did.
just apologise from your heart and if she see's that you are truely sorry, she will forgive you but it may take time depending on how hurt she is.
