I come from Alice Springs in Oz and until last year we had no open road limits so i have a cbrxx super blackbird 315kph. there are 5 busa's in town and none can catch me.
mine is a '97 carbie model with a few mods.
You can get an after market turbo kit for it but what tyre will hold 425kph?

The current speed record is held by Chris Carr. He was driving a motorcycle designed and built specifically for the record everything including the motor was custom. the speed is 350 mph

Land speed record is held by the suzuki hyabusa. It's a 1300CC sportbike. Firt model made in 1999 to compete against the honda night hawk or skyhawk. Something with a hawk in it. The hyabusa is actually a bird in japan that eats hawks. anyhow the speedo ends at 225 but you still have about 25,000 rpms before redline so it goes much faster. With mods even faster.

At one time it replaced into the Suzuki Hyabusa for the quickest street legal motorbike, yet that replaced right into a on an analogous time as in the past. you ought to to ask Jay Leno, as he has a motorbike with a freaking jet engine on the decrease back of it.

All major manufactures adhere to a voluntary 186mph electronic limit. Done so to keep governments from imposing federal limitations to protect squids like you who'd try to hit 200+ on public roads.
That being said, I do believe that Aprillia is marketing a new super bike that does NOT adhere to the limitations. If memory serves, it tops out around 210mph.
