I am of course refering to Mr. and Mrs. McCann. I think they have conducted themselves with the utmost dignity in a situation that would have destroyed most people. But for their strength of character and determination I am sure they would have fallen apart. May God bless them and return their beloved daughter to them soon.

Honeysuckle I am quite sure that behind closed doors there is a different couple altogether. The situation does not bear thinking about. I feel very very sorry for what they may have to live with.

I agree that they have conducted themselves with great dignity, but I also feel that they must feel a huge amount of guilt at leaving their children in that holiday home, while they dined and wined. I do not blame them, as I think that was "the norm" in that resort. I think their faith has supported them through

I'm not sure about dignity - it's hard to argue with the central point that they should not have left their children unsupervised - but the McCanns have certainly used every resource at their disposal to keep Madeleine at the top of the news agenda, and no parent can blame them for that.

They are paying a heavy price for it now, of course, and I fear that they may one day have to face up to the odds that she is no longer alive. But what they don't deserve is the constant fevered speculation by the know-nothing, self-appointed judge and jury vilifying them in the tabloids and forums like this.

My heart goes out to them, regardless of the situation. I would never ever leave my child to go someplace to eat, no further than a room away, but that is not the point. Just to lose someone like that is a punishment they will endure forever, and their broken heart will always have a large hole in it.
This may or not resolve itself, but I hope all of us have taken a lesson from it. We must never have too many children that we have to leave them to go someplace without them, with no sitter in the same room. They grow up too fast, and anything we could do to leave them unsupervised can wait until they are 18.
God bless and strengthen this family and all others who have lost children out of their lives.

i'm an atheist, i detect Christians and atheists the two to be extraordinarily ignorant approximately what all this non secular mumbo jumbo is all approximately. there is a few know-how to be stumbled on interior of those historic paganistic thoughts, too undesirable Christians won't be able to discover it. I in basic terms want extra atheists would somewhat study the stuff so as that they might somewhat oppose it. If extra atheists regarded deeply into those issues shall we take our historic faith of intercourse, drugs, and rock n roll decrease back from them.

Its a shame they need strength and dignity to get through a situation that they could have avoided in the first place by having the strength and dignity to let their children stay with them for an evening meal.

I admire your integrity and kindness of spirit but I cannot accept your interpretation of the McCann's.. I see coldness, selfishness and arrogance and the continued hope that we will be fooled by their scheming and sinister game..... Which, is turning out to be more sinister with each new lie.......
