No there not, this article is back in 2000. If they were relocating, they would have done it by now.

First off, the insiders know that the Chargers are going to LA as soon as the new stadium opens. The "perfectly good" stadium in San Antonio is known to need $100-150 million in improvements for an NFL team. It wasn't state-of-the-art in 1993 when it opened, and now it is 16 years further behind. And the San Antonio metro area simply isn't that large, so the Jaguars would be trading one small market for another. Oklahoma City is a similar situation, with the added problem of no stadium, so somebody would be looking at paying $600 million for that. And it's common knowledge out there how the cowboys screwed the taxpayers for their new temple, so Oklahoma voters will be warned. Plus that city is very close to Dallas, so it would be a divided market. Jacksonville does need to move, but I do not see either of the cities mentioned as an answer.

Hopefully not, here in OKC we already have the minor league Blazers, and they are really popular-- average attendence is 7,330--highest in the central hockey league but nowhere near the Flames' average of over 18,000. Our new Ford Center can accomodate that many, but I would doubt we would be able to fill all the seats. If we get a NBA team, which is quite likely, it would directly compete for the same space, and the last two seasons of the New Orleans team here in OKC, the Blazers were forced back across the street to the old, but more than adequate Cox center when both teams were playing at the same time. Wouldn't work for an NHL team as the Cox center does not handle more than about 11,000. .

Actually hockey is supported very well in Oklahoma City ... they dont understand the game, but they atleast go. As for Calgary going there ... you have to be out of your mind, thinking any Canadian team is moving out of this country.

That turned out to be a bogus story if I recall correctly. Rich guy in Oklahoma City builds an arena and looks for a team to fill it. He reads the papers and sees that 20 NHL teams are losing money big-time and picks one to be his tenant.

The bruohaha died down when Bremner and Hotchkiss threatened to sue his behind all the way across the Texas border.
