I'm not sure I understand. Surrender, & its synonyms mean to let go, or to give up. Surrender more specifically, to give up under compulsion to any person, influence, etc. I can't think of a thing that I "need" to surrender to!
Nothing is restraining or dominating influence over me.
Perhaps I'll get a better perspective if I look at the other answers, but I truly feel one surrenders only to control, & then only reluctantly when freedom isn't a choice.
Edit: Hmm. "Accept" is not the same as surrender, & control is not an illusion--say, if you were being held hostage, or were a prisoner. & my dear Shahbarack: Do we let go, or give UP on life?? It's hard for me to think of you this way; you are so talented & your life so full. I'm sticking with ACCEPT!!

Surrender? I surrender worry. I do what I can about a situation. What I can do here, in the material world. Then I pray about it and surrender the situation/problem to the universe/God.

If by surrender you mean letting your guard down and going
with trust in your heart....not too much as far as humanity is concerned. But some of their accomplishments like
glorious music, art, sculpture, literature and invention will always capture the total me. Nature humbles me no end and I'm absolutely in awe of it's powerful
forces. I completely surrender to animal life and find it
to be my teacher and advisor through observation. These
things I will always trust and revere. This is my version of
surrendering to love....just not the romantic kind. I also
surrender to the fact that Leo and Sag are best friends of
the zodiac...so much alike.

I will surrender to death when I am ready but the rest of my life has no need to surrender as that would imply some sort of war or struggle and I have neither in my life

I am a trifle guarded for certain reasons; and therefore, are often influenced to the point that I cannot surrender. I believe I miss out on opportunities because of this. Perhaps, I'll loosen up as I age.

Should we surrender to love? To sincerity? To peace of mind, especially in front of the children _

There are two things I surrender to-the necessary and the
inevitable. They're rarely the same.

Do i have anything to surrender? I assume you mean what aspects of my being so i let others control. I try to avoid letting others have control over me but i can't always do that. The women i love has full control over me. It's not the healthiest relationship, but i don't mind. The opinions of the one's i hold dear are the only ones i even begin to consider. or at least i'd like to think that thats the way i conduct myself. I'm not really sure.
