My ex said he is not going to pay me for half of the house ( This was court ordered for him to do so). What can I do legally besides filing for contempt of court. Can I move myself back into the house that we own? Can I legally move his crap onto the front lawn and have him move out until he pays me?

u probably do need to file contempt of court charges , does your court order state he has to leave the house and when, be careful about desposing of his stuff, take good care of it if u do move back until u get clearence from the court on what u can do with his stuff and when. u need to read your court orders over carefully and see if there is already something specified in there about what u can do in case he dosent comply, like have the sheriff escourt him out of the house, unless u or he have a ppo against the other u probably could move back in but i would not do it as things could get really bad really fast, i know u asked what u could do other than filing contempt on him but unless it states in your court order what u can do if he dosent comply u r kinda stuck, but the bright side of this is that u dont have to have an attorney to do this, but if u can afford one it might go smoother and an attorney can send him a letter stating if he dosent comply by a certain date that [was there a date on the court order] he would be responsible for your attorneys fees, court costs, rent and even if he does leave when an attorney sends a letter, he can be held responsible for any damage he does to the place, now u see why u have 2 treat his stuff with care and respect until a judge tells you what u can do and when u can do it with regards to his stuff and make sure u get it in writing as if u dont it is like it never happened. u can do this all yourself but that might not be your best bet.

Does your divorce decree give you ownership of the house? If so then you can take possession of it and get a court order for him to vacate the premises or be forcefully removed by the sheriffs dept. Notify the courts of his refusal to obey the court order and do nothing without the courts permission first to stay out of legal trouble yourself.
