From a security standpoint, you should have a software firewall running on every PC. If you're networking the computers internally, you'll want to make sure you understand how to configure the firewalls to allow internal traffic while blocking unwanted internet traffic.

Ideally, you should have firewalls installed on all your PC's. But, I think the easiest thing you can do is to turn on the router's firewall. There are 2 types of firewalls, software and hardware. You are probably familiar with the software firewalls (e.g. ZoneAlarm, McAfee, Kerio...). But, there are also hardware firewalls which are integrated in devices such as wireless routers. Though using both software and hardware firewalls gives you the best level of protection, most users are prefectly safe using just a hardware firewall.

Most of wireless routers have advanced firewall built in,if so u no need of any software firewall.....just use the windows firewall.

If your router doesn't come with built in firewall,u should have at least a NAT in your router....and u will also be safe....just use a good antivirus on each computer.

some routers come with their own firewall, and the XP OS also has it's own for each computer....you could also consider comodo's freeware firewall on the machine running the wireless router..

Well, if you like being safe, use them all but it might interfere with you. Depends on your connection I guess.

All of them, as they will be sending and receiving independently of you.
