Personally, a woman with that kind of confidence is a real turn on to me...

Possibly because they adhere too rigidly to outdated gender stereotypes. Personally I think that a woman asking a man out is perfectly fine. I would go so far as to say that I would respect a woman more if she did that than if she required the man to come to her.

Well i have done that (to ask for a date and confess that i like him) to a guy that was flirting and joking with me for a year and his reaction was nothing... He was socked, then he said he couldn't believe it , at the end he said he could never imagine that a girl like me would date him and that's all...
I'm still angry with him...
I don't know maybe some guys are afraid when the girl takes the initiative and they are blocked. But i couldn't wait more ...
I'm pleased to know that some guys at least find it a turn on !

It's never offended me, in fact, most of the relationships I've had have been with women who have come to me, not me to them.
I don't actually know of any guys who would be upset by a woman asking him out, but I'm betting they're out there.

I don't know why some men might be offended. If I were in such a position, I would be more concerned about letting her down gently if I saw no future.

Maybe men who hold traditional values, but then I've never came across any man who has been offended whenever I've asked them out, rejected me yes, offended no.

Because they believe that she's doing the man's job by taking initiative. Any guy whose masculinity is based on such a narrow foundation isn't worth asking out.

Some men are just conservative and traditional. Probably would not a woman with so much self identity.

I'm pretty impatient, so I've made the first move plenty of times. I always paid if I invited a guy out.

Besides, before I was married, white guys would flirt, but almost never ask me out. After we went out they'd always say they had wanted to ask me out, but thought I'd say no. I think because I live in area with a very low minority ratio a lot of white guys felt awkward. If I knew they wanted to ask, I helped them out. ;)

Edit: but I wouldn't ask unless I was sure he was interested and no guy has ever been offended .

Because they've never been involved with anything other than a jar of Vaseline.
Yeah. Real men are real slick!

Turn on yes... I agree

But some guys think it makes them look like they didn't have the guts or the skills to make the first move. I personally don't care who makes the first move.
