Have new flange bolts ready.. And a hacksaw blade to cut through the old ones if required.
Wax ring, dont over tighten flange bolts or tank bolts, good (new) water supply line, and a little patience..
It's not very hard.

The first thing I usually encounter is the stop water valve is faulty. Not in all cases. You may want to consider going ahead with a new water supply line to. Another thing is to have new toilet flange bolts on hand because the old ones often have to be cut off because of damaged threads from the previous install. Be sure to have a new wax ring, and make sure all the new connections are snug. Sometimes over tightening can crack the porcelain. Check the new toilet for cracks before installing. Hope that helps.

If you have flooring, tile or vinyl, that has been cut around the base of the old camode, your new one will not fit the opening like the old one.
The base of the new one will be different and you may be replacing flooring.

If the camode is setting on top of the flooring, then there's a good chance that the old flooring will be covered by the new one.

Don't forget to turn off the water supply. And drain or bail as much water out of the toilet as possible.

Don't tighten the bolts to tight or it will break the toilet. I suggest tightening a turn or two past hand tight then tighten more later if there is leakage.

They are rather heavy and having 2 people to lift the old one and place the new one is advisable. Also don't overtighten the new bolts, you will crack the toilet.
