I need a car that gets at least 35 mpg. A truck would be nice, but Im pretty sure there is no such thing as a truck that is that good. I just need to know what type of car can get up to that.

There is no truck on the planet right now that will get 35 MPG so you are looking at a small hybrid to get those numbers.

The old diesel datsun (80's Nissan), and i believe toyota made a few? the are similar to the S10 and Ranger but kinda ugly, but they get 40-45mpg becuase they are diesel. Also, look a the TDI VW Jetta, its also diesel and will get 40-55 mpg depending on what kind of driving you do. (what kind not so much how you drive). they also have tuning chips to improve mileage and perfomace. they get better mileage than the hybrids, and have more power! they will run about the same as a honda accord, etc. diesel generally last forever, just follow you maintenance procedures.

Get a little four cylinder ford ranger or a chevy s-10, probably no 35 mpg, but your pretty limited when you get to that kind of mileage. Chevy aveo is great mileage, but a little small.
