Escargot

2007-11-18 11:23:26 · answer #1 · answered by Everyone 4 · 0 0

I have had them....Escargot. I do not particularly care for them. Someone gave me some Calamari to try and I had no idea what it was but I loved it. I found out later that it was Squid. I will still eat it to this day, it is delicious. The point I am making, is that they give exotic foods fancy names so that people will eat them, or at least try them.

- Escargot....Snails
- Calmari...Squid
- Caviar...Fish Eggs

The first name is actually appealing but the latter.....Yuck!!!!

Yes! And so do people in the United States. They are considered a delicacy called "Escargot"...usually cooked in butter and wine...without the shell.

Yes. And you might be amazed at what some ethinic peoples eat! I don't think you would like to go to Bejing or Thailand market, and see the "fresh" food!
