It's a new day tomorrow, can we all have a week when there is no racial tension, no bullying just being nice. It upsets me to see some of the things written on here and there really is NO need for it.
This is a current event board so instead of all the awful things that some people are posting can we please just have some healthy debate, or have we all forgotten what that was ?
People will never always agree but on here it gets TOO personal and vindictive.

All I am saying is that healthy debate is good and that no-one will agree most of the time, but why does it have to resort to some people being so vile ??

Yes Michelle I am intelligent enough to realise that we all have varying opinions but thank you for answering.

You're very right. It seems that many of the vindictive people must have very small lives if they feel the need to use this site to spew their hatred.

Maybe we should just all answer then to not upset the other person????....come on....i`me sure you are a lovely person and are intelligent enough to know we ALL have varying opinions that some people will not like!!!!....FACT!!!!....that is why it`s called a discussion board!....I do agree with you though that personal slates are NOT good....if you can get your point across without being nasty to the person all the better....( unless they asked a LAME q you didn`t agree with!!!! ) JK....it is a forum for free speach tho!!!!

People get aggressive because of the social conjugation they practice:
1. I am firm.
2. You are stubborn.
3. He is pig-headed.
It's used in instances where the facts don't support your point of view and is a lot more prevalent these days, even at the highest levels of government.

I agree 100% so have a star! Sadly though, Current Events is full of mean-spirited idiots like Julia Peculiar and Adam who only want to stir trouble about the McCann story.

honestly, I don't believe we have the culture for that any more. Since the parents had to go to work and get a good job, 40+ hours a week, each, the culture in this world has gone down the crapper. kids don't work with their familys any more where mom and dad raise the kids, it's a select few teachers that raise the kids. how hard to teachers work at this, they work just hard enough not to get fired and they get paid just enough not to quit. quite frankley, I don't think there are many good teachers out there any more (no offence to teachers). but teachers can't raise our kids, we have to.

people are worried, some are when they write, and ask for help, so you can expect many to be tactful, funny, nasty, rude, some people could be older corresponding, and they will give the truth, so do i, this world today for many, is hard, many are homeless, alone, depressed, ill, have no parents, no jobs, so there computers are their life lines to get answers, to there problems, whether they are nice or not,

I totally agree with you, we are all going to have our own opinions about things, but there is no need to abuse or report people simply for their views. I only ever report harmful or discriminatory posts.

I agree. This should be a forum for people to air their views and opinions. I don't think being personal and vindictive is the best way of having your views heard. Its a very good way to have your views dismissed.

Until all people are self-accountable with a
conscience, it's not likely to happen, but indeed
an honorable request. I'll do my part.
