The Moon is not a Planet. It is a moon orbiting the planet Earth.

Planets orbit the Sun.
Moons orbit Planets.

Yes, it was the first place other than space that mankind visited. Mars will probably be the second place sometime around the year 2010.

Yes. NASA is restarting it's moon program in 2014 and by 2020 we will be back. And hopefully by 2050 we will be on Mars.
