i need to write an essay on the play macbethh...my thesiss is:
Shakespeare effectively uses blood imagery to illustrate the themes of the play.

i need 3 arguments to prove why this is true.
i have one buh im not sure if its right and i still need 2 more..help!!

1. madness: -when lady macbeth is sleep walking she sees her hands are stained with blood.
-before macbeth was going to kill Duncan, he sees a bloody dagger.(not too sure bout this one)

and doo you thinkk i should change my thesis????

You have a sound thesis, and you've made a good start on assembling your supporting evidence. You should probably go through the text, noting every time blood is mentioned. Then ask yourself what each instance of blood imagery contributes to the play. In all likelihood, you won't use every single instance in your essay, but it's good to have a lot of examples to choose from. Some (like the two you've mentioned) are bound to strike you more forcefully than others. Those are the ones you'll work with to illustrate your points.

blood does play a big part of the play..... it is seen in the two ways that u listed and then when macbeth sees the bloody head of someone ordered to be killed.
