Ive been smoking about a year ow and all of a sudden Its been making me feel sick, just, tired and dizzy, nautiouse. Im thinking i might be pregnant, but not just because of that, for other reasons to. I know it bad for me and if i am pregnant i will quit rate away and how ive been feeling it may not be that hard. But do you think this could be an extra symptom?

Yes, before I found out I was pregnant with my first child I smoked and every time I did they tasted stale and it would make me want to throw up. I threw away like 3 packs because they were an unpopular brand (and I thought they stale) before I switched to a different brand and realized that it wasn't the cigarettes. Your body is trying to tell you something, listen to it. (Also I always kind of thought it was my baby telling me not to) Even if you are not pregnant Now is a great time to quit smoking
Good Luck and Congrats on planning to quit but many times people set far off dates and don't actually do that, I have smoked off and on for 10 years and have quit and tried to quit many times. Trust me just do it and don't start back up again. There are many different aids to help you and even 1 800 numbers for you to talk to someone about it, they will give you tips. Make rules, no smoking in the house or car, switch to a really nasty tasting brand that you really don't like, these things might help you want to quit. Also have plenty of things to do with your hands and gum to chew. Slice veggies like cucumbers, carrots etc. into sticks and munch. Use candy cigarettes, they still have them at the dollar store (they are called candy sticks) uummmm.... Quit for yourself, not anyone else (You have to want to or it won't work out) Set back the money you would have spent on cigarettes and buy yourself a treat with it. These are good initiatives. Good Luck!

It's entirely possible, but not the only explanation (although I would definitely rule it out with a test for many other reasons). I smoked off and on for close to fifteen years, but quit for the final time when I started experiencing the very same symptoms you are describing, and I was not pregnant. What I experienced led me to believe it was simply a lack of oxygen. Just one cigarette could make me feel tired to the point of leaden limbs, make me dizzy and nauseous, give me a headache...you get the idea. I'm sorry, but you'll just have to quit or be sick--and you won't find it terribly hard if it makes you feel this way.
I'm glad you're PLANNING on quitting, but do you really want to feel sick until March dear? Is it worth it? It sounds like it's causing you far more stress than it's relieving you of. :-)

I have never smoked, but EVERYONE in my family does. The smoke never bothered me before, until I was pregnant. My husband would light up next to me & it would make me sick & dizzy & I would almost punch him. Just taking a sip of alcohol made me sick. It was weird! Then I found out I was pregnant & it seemed to make sense. My body was trying to tell me something. Quit for a while & find out for sure if you are pregnant. That way then you won't feel guilty if you are. Good luck!

i went through the same thing with 2 pregnancies. i love smoking, and i still find it appealing. when i first got pregnant (about a week in) i could not smoke or be around smoke because it would gag, and throw up most of the time. now im having a hard time quitting ( i am pregnant again) but ive been smoking straight for 3 years. get a pt and take it in a week or so. good luck.

Not only can it make you sick, But it can hinder the proper growth of the babies brain cells. If it makes you sick, Use this an an opportunity to quit smoking, It will be good for both you, and baby, for you not to smoke. Or at least until you know if your pregnant or not.

oh man i feel bad for you, your gona get alot of crap for this question. but yeah, if your still smoking and feeling sick id say it could be anything, im not a doctor though, just from experience, i was a smoker before i got pregnant, but around the 8 week mark, i was completely disgusted by the smell and threw up when i smelled it and could absolutely not be around it .. but i say quit smoking until you know if you are or not, you won't regret it

Same thing happened to me. I smoked, but when I got pregnant I couldn't stand it! It made me sick to even be around someone else smoking. I stopped immediately.

Ok use common sense. If you think your pregnant get a pregnancy test. If smoking is getting you sick dont smoke. Smoking for a year and quitting is nothing. You arent addicted like you think you are and you are asking a question that you could figure out on your own if you use common sense.

Regardless of the fact that you may be pregnant, smoking is obviously affecting your body. Pregnant or not, you shouldnt' smoke, and I'm glad that you know that it's bad for you.
Cancer... emphesyma... lead to death. If you aren't pregnant, definitely quit. If you are pregnant, definitely quit, especially if you don't want your baby to become orphaned soon.
