The stone I have is about as large as a six pack of soda and alight pink in color and real heavy almost as if it were glass,but I have never seen glass that thick it was buried in the dirt in the woods just a small part was showing so I starting digging it up and thats when I found out it was as big as it is. I have been all over the net trying to findout what is but I have'nt found anything yet. Its almost like a giant gem .

could be `slag` from iron smelter or glass waste.

there were 5 major glass plants around here at the turn of the century...there are a lot of glass rocks adorning peoples yards here ...they find them and some look pretty good sitting in the yard...

its glass. these big pieces come from the glass house when they have stoped molding that color glass. the melted glass hardens and looks like big jems. some garden centers sell big blocks to display around the garden.
