Go live where you came from and you won't be a foreigner and wont have to whine about being picked on anymore.

Sometimes people seem to consider it a sign of lack of interest towards the host country as well as an unwillingness to adapt when foreigners don't speak the language very well. If that is the problem, maybe you should work on that. If it's just prejudice, just try to ignore them, although it's hard. Most of those narrow-minded natives are just too thick to see the good things of different cultures. Maybe you could also ask them the reasons for their criticism, trying to reveal their generalist point of view, like "But what exactly is your problem with me as a person?" or "Do you know me well enough to say such things?" In some cases though, it's not worth it. Some old dogs won't learn new tricks. I just emigrated myself and find that most people are really nice. Those who are rather hostile are usually not worth the trouble of trying to change their mind. It's so unfair and easy to criticise people just because they were not born in your country, and stupid too. I mean, what does "foreigners" mean anyway. We all share one planet and should treat each other as brothers and sisters instead of alienating those who seem different. But it's a great adventure to start anew in a different country and the advantages outweigh the disadvantages by far. So try to ignore those few idiots and enjoy your stay there. It might be one of the best times of your life. Good luck!

I'm sorry you have this problem. There are many ignorant people in this world who don't have anything better to do than be mean. Just remember that anyone who would criticize someone just because they're foreign is probably a low-life scum who doesn't deserve your consideration anyway. Those are the people who make this country look bad... I think you have more of a right to be here than they do! Good luck.. try to stay positive. I would gladly welcome more foreigners into this country, who contribute to our economy and work hard.... There are many Americans I would like to deport for leaching off our system!

Nothing you really can do. I know its hard ignoring ignorant cruelty, but those people who do that are ignorant!!! there are so many foreigners, you thin they'd learned by now that America especially is the melting pot for immigrants. We are all from somewhere. Be proud of your heritage and who you are, don't let ignorance make you uncomfortable. People star and try to criticize what they don't know or understand, it's sad, but they do it. So keep ignoring them, they aren't worth anything else if they are that shallow that they treat you badly.

It depends on where you are from. Obviously you can speak English so thats helpful? Do you have a very obvious accent. You should get rid of it if you do. Also buy some new Amerian clothes so it doesn't look obvious that you are a foreigner. If you don't want to assimilate then do the opposite. Try to think of some good comeback lines

Remind them that unless they are 100% Native American, at one point all of their ancestors were foriegners.

Ask them if they are able to speak your language at the same level you speak theirs. A silence should set in.
