I Can't Believe The Audasity, Walmart Just Said In Their TV Ad:

"If There's One Thing Walmart Knows How To Do, It's To Bring Families Together."

And Yes,...

They Said It To Imply You Should Go Their And Purchase Products, Give Them More Of Your Money For Their Multi-Billions Of Dollars In Profits, Consume Junk From China.

What I find funny, is people hate walmart,

Say that they refuse to shop there.

Then they go to Target, K-Mart, Jc Penny, etc, and buy the exact same products, made in the exact same countries.

Oh, but thier making a difference........

Go figure.

.
How dare walmart sell stuff cheaply, and force people in communities, to stop shopping at thier neighbors stores, and buy stuff from walmart instead.

People actually believe drivel like that sentence above.

Get a grip . . . . this is America . . . . . free enterprise and all that . . . . . . besides, you don't have to shop there if you don't want to . . . . go pay more for the same thing elsewhere if that's what makes you happy. Personally I love Walmart, especially when I have four married children and their families to shop for at Christmas time !

Oh, and by the way, ALL ads are propaganda and there are a lot of ads on TV that are far more offensive than any that Walmart runs.

addl . . . . . for Nostradamas, who apparantly does not have a dictionary.

Monopoly : Exclusive control by one group of the means of producing or selling a commodity or service: "Monopoly frequently ... arises from government support or from collusive agreements among individuals"

by definition, Walmart is NOT a monopoly anymore than K-Mart or Target or any other large department store. They all sell the same, or similar, brands or products and compete through pricing.

it's good to hear an above poster state that i don't have to shop there if i don't want to.

and i don't, unless the walmart in an area has already driven all of the smaller businesses out of business in which case i have no choice.

and that is a monopoly and supposed to be illegal in the usa.

ah to marvel back at the days when our govt actually took steps to enforce business law and actually protected it's citizens from predatory corporations instead of the other way around.

you know, the way it is now...

Did you know "propaganda" means "advertising" in most Latin-derived languages? Why? Because its the same thing on a most basic way. It wasn't until after WWI that the word "propaganda" received such a negative connotation in the English language.

Wal-Mart has low prices and all the things that go with low prices. There are good deals to be sure...but at the end of the day...we really do get what we pay for.

I refuse to shop Wal-mart or Sams. They destroy the local economies in the smaller cities.
