Just like newborns, the unborn have growth spurts where they do little more than sleep all day. As long as there is some movement throughout the day you're fine.
In couple days baby will be done with the growth spurt and will be very very active to use all those new muscles.
It is normal. IF you're concerned go have a nonstress test done.

I'm not wanting to scare you, I'm wanting to warn you so listen to me. It is normal for babies to decrease in movement as you get further along. However if you are EVER concerned about your baby's movement, or lack of, do the stress test...which is where you drink usually Orange Juice, and lay on your left side for half an hour to an hour and if the baby doesn't move or kick, it's usually worrisome. Do not hesitate at all to call the doctor. Don't feel like you're bothering them with your concerns because that is what they're there for. If they think it could be serious, they'll have you come in ASAP.
My personal story is I was 35 weeks pregnant with a baby girl. On a Sunday I went to bed, she was moving like crazy, which she did sometimes. Anyway, Monday morning I woke up..and there was no movement. She almost always kicked when I'd get in the shower, and she didn't. I thought it was a little odd but didn't think much about it because there were days when she would kick, and then wouldn't, but would end up kicking the next day. Anyway I went to work, went about my day, thought I may had felt some movement but wasn't sure. I still wasn't too worried because like I said, she had done this before. Tuesday morning I wake up and still no movement. I make a doctors appointment and they tell me to come in. They went to check for a heartbeat and couldn't find one, so took me into the ultrasound room to try and find it on that. No heartbeat. My daughter had passed away. And deep inside I know there was really nothing I could do about it all, but I still regret not calling the doctor sooner.
So, if ever in doubt, call your doctor. I don't want to scare you, just warn you that if you ever are worried about anything, do not hesitate to call your doctor at all. Better safe than sorry, like in my case. Wish you the best!

Have you done any kick counts? It's probably getting pretty cramped in your tummy by now and maybe your little one doesn't have too much room. I would get some protein and carbs ( cheese and crackers) and a small glass of milk and do some kick counts. You should note the time you start counting and note the time when you have felt 10 movements. If you go an hour without feeling anything , lay down for a little while and concentrate. If you go another hour with no movement, I would call your doctor. It's unlikely that any thing is wrong but it's good to be safe.

The farther a long u get the baby will move less because it is so tight inside there for the baby that there isn't a lot of room to move. A baby is supposed to move at least 4 times in a hour. Try drinking something sugary or something cold this will usually wake the baby up. If u a worried go to your doctor to make sure baby is ok.

I had decreased movement and it totally freaked me out. My husband took me to the hospital and they kept me overnight for observation. They put a fetal monitor on me to make the sure the heart beat was strong and that there wasn't any fetal distress. I was discharged the next day. When I was discharged my doctor told me to keep a journal of how often the baby moved and if there was anything that changed dramatically I needed to call/go back to the hospital.

I think it's normal, if you are really concerned call the doctor. It gets more crowded in there at 30 weeks and is harder for the baby to do flips and kicks and swim around like it used to. :)
EDIT:
A good link for "kick counting."
