Draw a picture of right triangle ABC.

Do cosine because you are trying to find the hypotenuse of the triangle.

cos 55 = 10/x

x is a hypotenuse

Do the cross multiply thingy.

cos 55/1=10/x
cos 55x=10
x=17.434
x=17.0
