My computer shuts off randomly.
The monitor goes off and i can hear the fan stop and stuff, but the green light is still on.
When this happens, i usually shut off the powersupply to the entire computer for 1-5 mins and start it up again. (it happens 30 mins-90 mins later)

Make sure your CPU temp and motherboard temps are at acceptable levels, if they are not, add a fan or try changing your CPU fan if the old one runs below 3300 rpm.
Install a virus protect, do a diskclean and defrag while the antivirus is running and operational.
If that doesn't help, install Explorer 7 (it has an anti-freeze/anti-shut down protect and is recommended by Windows).
Then go to my site, listed below and do the set up that is recommended by Windows Xp.

Sounds like it is overheating and shutting itself down to prevent damage. Make sure that there is a good airflow around the computer and that the fans/vents are not obstructed. You may also want to clean the dust out of fans and heatsinks.
