I don't think it's real, more of a commentary about his critics.

I don't think it's real,but I did read an awful article in a magazine which was similar to that,I won't go into details,but basically the guy was a big fan of Eminem and was inspired by him,but something changed in him somehow and(without fully going into details) he ended up killing his girlfriend.

Ooh, I hope that the son isn't real.
That song is soooo sad.
Wikipedia doesn't say much about it, so I don't know.
