That you have the power to control your own life to make decisions for yourself, but not someone else. If they are unhappy about something, only they have the power to do something to change that. If their door is closed to advice, then they have the power to open the door to take in new information to make change. You can't push people to see the light if their door is closed, and the curtains are drawn. They have to open the curtains and the door themselves to see the light, and you can be right there to greet them.
