I think the name of the show is "To Catch a Predator." Is this a form of entrapment? Is it real?

I think it's real, but I think there are more prevalent crimes they could be trying to stop.

An easier (but I guess less entertaining way) of preventing this crime is for parents to keep an eye on their kids and know what they are doing and who they are talking to online!

I love the show but I wish they could stop telling all the details of the emails, I don't want to hear what they plan to do with these kids. but I am glad for this show, they did a show sometime ago to catch a scam artist from africa. but they did only one. anyway it goes to show that catholic priest are not the only ones you should be concerned about. and yet all eyes are on priest, when this other scum bags are still out there and no one is noticing. I have seen rabi's and muslim men, computer geeks, and for those of you who say catholic priest are pedophiles because they are not alowed to marry, well they caught plenty of married men with families on to catch a predator, one man even brought his son to a decoys house with him!!! can you believe it?!! there were teachers, coaches, congressmen and police officers that were caught. I like and appreciate the show but I can't listen to the reading of the predators e-mails. Yuk!!! this show has made me more cautious and warey of men, to the point of not letting my two boys go into the public bathroom by themselves. I definately look at men differently now.

It scares me at how freaking talented the perverts are convincing girls they are harmless when, in fact, they are not. I am a smart girl, but I still got sucked in by this guy who turned out to be a monster manipulator, emotionally disturbed, a pathological liar, a moron, a predator and a jerk. He lives in Australia so I thought I'd be fine, but then he started talking about coming out here!!!!! Creepy. He's 30. I just turned 17. I don't need Chris Hansen to tell me to block him, and never, ever, ever IM with strangers again.

No it's not entrapment; they have to get these people off the streets, it just goes to show you anyone can be a creep, they catch firemen, businessmen, even cute guys trying to have sex with kids; children have to be protected, we all have to be protected from sexual predators.

oh, it's very real!!!!
it's not entrapment because the "decoy" online states many times within a conversation that they are underage.
the wannabe pedophiles travel to their house, sometimes for many many miles, in hopes to have sex with a very young girl or boy!
i love the show, and i hope they do it forever!!

I'm glad they are doing it, however I've stopped watching it after I seen a freaking rabi and doctor were caught! How ridiculous is this world coming to!??! They have done this many, many, many times and these pedophiles keep getting caught! Stupid, stupid, stupid!

It was interesting the first couple of times. Now I cringe when I see they are bringing it back. Who wants to see a bunch of losers who obviously need help begging and saying they know they messed up but nothing was going to happen........................................
