On all of the heisman questions and such, some people still bash Timmy for some reason or another. I am just curious to why people dislike him... because knowing him personally, I just dont understand how that could be possible...

As an LSU fan I don't like him because of that. With that being said I take nothing away from what he can do as a football player. He might very well be the best candidate for the Heisman. He could be the best guy around to, I dont know. As a Florida fan I think you could understand my opinion about that, and that my dislike is strictly as a rival teams fan and not personal.

that he plays for Florida. I live in GA so now you know why.
He is playing very well but I agree with the arguments about the Heisman Trophy with him being a sophomore. Someone on a broadcast mentioned that it has always been given to a Junior or Senior because it is a type of "lifetime achievement" award for a college football career. Well he isn't done yet and this will rob someone of this opportunity, especially a senior. We know Tebow will be coming back next season and will most likely be the number one prospect for the award. All of the original front runners are obviously out but there other Juniors and Seniors that can be nominated.

omg....the award is given to the best football player in college for that year....it isnt lifetime acheivement.......if it was lifetime acheivement then it would be exactly that!! Lets talk about the Heisman award....* Walker's 683 points in 1980 were the most for a freshman as was his 1,199 points as a sophomore in '81.
NOTE: In 1944, Glenn Davis was 125 points behind Les Horvath, the closest finish for a sophomore.
So remember, there are alot of people who vote for the Heisman, alot of coaches believe it is a yearly award and try to make history, like what will happen this year with th first ever sophmore winner.....deal with it!!

Well that's easy for me being a Seminoles fan... uh... he's a Gator! I also think he's benefiting from an excellent strategy setup by his coach. It makes me wonder what numbers another quarterback could put up in the same situation. However, he's definitely the frontrunner for the heisman in my opinion because those numbers are sick. Although it pains me tremendously to say it.

I wouldn't mind meeting him. Look he is the complete package. He can throw, run and even, yes catch. He is the best made QB in college right now to go into the NFL and I can think of a Florida team (Miami) that may be chomping at the bit (pardon the pun) to get him.

The only issue I have with him and Florida is that some of those goal line walk in touchdowns probably could have gone to one of the running backs rather than Tim getting them all. Other than that, the kid is well rounded and a good athlete

Florida seems to revolve around Tebow. One person alone does not make the team.

I don't find Tebow being a great quarterback. He makes some good plays but he isn't consistent enough. There is some games he should have an unbelievable game, but he doesn't.

People don't dislike him, they dislike Florida. As the QB, he takes on a lot of that.
