You are talking about two completely different things with your question.
I am an animal lover that has been working with both domestic and wild animals most of my life. I love animals and am a defender of the defenseless HOWEVER while I am quite outspoken against using animals for the testing of lipgloss or any other needless whim of mankind... I support the using of animals for the purposes of medical reasearch. I do not like it and I wish with all of my heart that there were another way but there just isn't at this time.
As much as I love animals and as much of my life as I have given to them at many times at the exclusion of the human race... I am still for the curing of cancer and AIDS and diabetes and the countless other things.

Bonsylar: I agree with you that the cosmetc industry is here to stay. It really gets me when I see "animal rights" people protesting with full make-up on. I find it hilarious and hipocritical. Isn't that kinda like a vegan wearing leather? :)

No more cosmetics need to be tested on animals. NONE. Medications however, need to be...for humans as well as animals.

Well, I don't have any problem with you and other "animal rights" people taking the animal's places.
So when someone comes up with a new medicine and they aren't sure if it's toxic, you go to the front of the line and if it doesn't kill you, maybe we'll consider giving it to sick people.
Same with cosmetics. When they come up with something new, they'll smear it on your eyes, face and make you eat some just to see what happens.
And don't kid yourself. The cosmetic industry is here to stay. Ain't no one going without their botox and butt hole bleaching. (I'm not making that up!)
So as soon as you and your animal rights friends line up to take their place, I will be completely against animal testing.
I THINK THAT ANY ANIMALS IN LABRATORIES SHOULD BE TREATED HUMANELY.

I disagree with it. The results are not applicable to humans. They have to do human tests anyway. Animals are not here for us to use and abuse. It's cruel, unecessary, and immoral.
