I couldn't care less about mine watching. In fact football is on right now....but if he turns on baseball I just want to shoot myself b/c it's soooo boring!
I think the women who do care just want all their mans attention or they don't understand the game and so it's not interesting.

You must be talking about young marriages,it's the young wife who wants to sit around and hold hands. They think their marriage is going to be like it was when the two of you went together. When you pay more attention to the TV then your own wife it hurts our feelings.
Try if you can to see it the way we do,when your boyfriend and girlfriend you kiss and tell each other how much you love each other and you can't keep your hands off of her,you want sex and lots of it, and you two go out and have fun together. Now comes the marriage and everything changes over night for us and for you guys as well. Now not only does the going out having fun together stop but the kissing and holding hands does not exist any longer. We become your personal cook your house cleaner and we don't mind doing it because we love you, but now we become invisible to you when the TV is on and to a wife that's unacceptable . It's like yesterday we were everything to you and now we're invisible. And you guys wonder why you don't get it from your wives the way you did before you married her, well we think (the wives that is) thinks it's pretty damn obvious you think just because you said I do: you think your job is done. No more running after her no more doing all the stupid things you had to do in order to keep us. Now you just work come home eat flop on the couch turn on the TV and your done.
Tell me that's not the way it is for you guys?

The reason is that some women hate it that men watch sports is because the men are all consumed with the sports. The women only wish the men would be half as interested in them. Ever.

I would never marry a guy who was an obsessed FANATIC but hey, if a guy likes sports who cares? My guy likes watching Sunday Football. I don't. So he watches it, I don't, and we get lots of kisses in during commercials. What's the big deal?
Women need to relax a little, and learn to GIVE and take.

As a women I can tell you that its the sportscastors and there nonstop talking. I like sports: Hockey, basketball, baseball.
