hello,
i have my laptop and can't access the internet on my wireless router, i have centrino so i am using an unsecured line.

but the question is where do i find out my internet security key?

i have tried all of the numbers on the modem and router so any help will be great ty

Wireless security keys are set on the router and then the same key is entered on the client. If you don't know your key, just log in to the router, go to wireless security settings and enter a new key. (Some routers allow you to read that key, some don't so if you can't read it.. make a new one.) Then enter that same key on your computer.

There are several types of security with WPA2 being the best, WPA being the next, and "WEP 128" next, with WEP 64 the weakest. So if you can you need to use WPA. However, for that to work your software on your computers have to support WPA (centrino should) usually drivers for WPA are available except for some older 802.11b units.
