It was about the Marine, Ty Ziegel, who is trying to get enough money from the Veterans Adm. so he and his new wife can build a home and life for themselves. His nose and chin and ears were burned off, he is blind in one eye, they removed part of his skull and put it in his side in the fatty tissue to stay moist until they removed part of his brain. He lost his left arm and only had two fingers on his right hand, and they grafted a toe from his foot to his hand to make a thumb. The Wedding picture of he and his bride is so sad. Do you think we owe these boys coming home, enought money to survive.

Included in the above piece is Ty's wedding picture. This is such a sad story! Yet one of the most outstanding courage and will to live and carry on.

In answer to your question, they need to do more for these kids! Geez what a sacrifice he has made!!

I didn't see it, what a sad, tragic story. I saw the wedding photo in the link Sage provided. I hope he and his bride have a long, happy marriage.

Yes, I think he and those in similar situations who have fought for our country definitely deserve to get whatever help they need.

Yes, we do owe those we sent to die for us financial support for life if they are injured this severely. Always check the veterans benefit voting history of any major candidates you vote for lifelong.

We owe them a lot more than just enough to survive. Hope they get all they deserve and then some.

You should read John Dean's book by the same name if you want a real eye opener.

I didn't see it but we certainly DO OWE THEM. Perhaps, Mr Bush and Mr Cheney might sacrifice to support some of them since it was their lies that caused this horror! (God has a very, very special reward for them, I am sure.)
