You need to register with the Care Commission. They are the regulatory body for Care in the UK.

They will tell you what is required for you to be accepted as a registered Care Centre.

You must also abide by the National care Standards for the service you provide. Go to care standards .gov for more info

You must also ensure that 50% of you staff are qualified to at least S?NVQ level 2 in Care. This does include registered Nurses.

Good luck. The days where Care Homes were a licence to print money are gone and the rules and regulations are tight
If it is a NUrsing Home then you need to have RGN/RMN cover 24 hours a day

These days they are regulated to hell and gone .. the chances of making a private home pay are effectively zero .. you are likely to end up with more staff than residents ... care homes are already being "emptied" and converted back into 'sheltered accommodation' (or normal flats).
