It represented the end of an innocent time and the ushering in of a turbulent one. Race relations the war in vietnam, the threat of communism all conspired together to make it a time of anxiety.
Because Kennedy represented hope and the prospects of a "new generation" it was devastating. It was like this big symbol of hope had been struck down and I don't think we ever recovered from that.

The Republicans would like to say that he was really a conservative because he was fiscally conservative, but I think Kennedy would be appalled by that.

Significance Of Jfk Assassination

It was a coup d' etat that changed the course of America. The giant U.S. military-industrial complex [which Dwight Eisenhower warned us about] wouldn't hear of JFK's attempts to bring about world peace. The 'Republicrats' wouldn't stand for JFK's proposed revisions to a corrupt political system. The Bush family dynasty wouldn't allow Kennedy to interfere with its long-range plans for a one-world government. Kennedy had to be brought down, and the assassination had to be covered up. It was one of the first major deceptions perpetrated upon the American people. Other government lies include:
* FDR's advance knowledge of the Pearl Harbor attack;
* The military's cover-up of the events in Roswell, NM;
* U.S. U-2 spy planes flown over the U.S.S.R. until Nikita Khrushchev shot one down and displayed it for the entire world to see;
* JFK's politically-motivated assassination;
* Erroneous reports of U.S. battleships being 'attacked' in the Gulf of Tonkin, which put us into the Vietnam War;
* Military assurances that Agent Orange would have no negative effects on Vietnam veterans;
* White House denials of its involvement in a third-rate burglary at the Watergate Hotel which resulted in the resignation of a U.S. President;
* The Reagan administration's 'arms-for-hostages' deal that later became known as the infamous Iran Contra scandal;
* A conveniently-contrived 'terrorist attack' that killed 3,000 U.S. civilians, helped a Bush family friend out of a massive financial disaster, and conned a grief-stricken American public into allowing George W. Bush to run rip shod over our Constitution and initiate an immoral, obscene, insane 'war' that - to date - has killed 675,000 Iraqis and 3,900 U.S. soldiers so that a handful of wealthy elitists, oil barons, industrialists and power brokers can become wealthier and more powerful;
* White House claims that Iraq possessed 'weapons of mass destruction' which took us into an unconstitutional, illegal, unjustified, immoral 'war' against another sovereign nation that in no way threatened, provoked or attacked the United States;
* CIA denials of sexual abuse and torture of 'detainees' in direct violation of the rules of the Geneva Convention.

JFK's assassination was the start of such government chicanery. It's been continuing - and accelerating - for fifty years now. As Adolph Hitler once said: tell a lie, make it a big lie, and tell it often enough. Eventually, most of the people will believe it. Hitler also said, "How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think."

The significance of JFK's assassination was how it proved to our federal government that it could actually get away with sinister deceptions, lies, distortions and half-truths.

it was a coup -- a treasonous take over of government which is unchanged since. The same forces which carried out 9/11 also carried out the JFK assassination. According to one author who studied the life of Jim Garrison- who probably investigated more than anyone else ever - Bush sr. was implicated in the plot through his covert CIA days in Florida.

it proves that there are shadowy forces waiting in the wings if any elected official steps 'out of line' - even if they are President.

Say and think what you will. My belief is that it was a "Regime Change" for the U.S. Bobby had gotten too strong. The Fifth Column had vowed they would make a difference during and after the Kennedys' reign. With a weak leader as Johnson proved to be it wasn't hard for the Far Left Democrats to take over and let the offshore money big boys come to power.

Yep.
The Democrat Party made sure that he was the LAST Democrat President to Cut Taxes.
The Democrat Party still Hates JFK because he cut taxes for taxpayers.
He crossed the line. The liberals got revenge.

It was the turning point for the Democrat party, which has been in decline ever since. The significance for JFK is obvious.
