I don't agree with it because i want to love someone i am with, all i want from him it that he appreciate that i love him and that i will do anything for him but don't he mess with me because i love him.
Someone who loves me back and know that it's might be a little annoying when i am in love with him but he knows that and respect that and won't take advantage of it.
that's what i feel that's best.

You should be pretty happy as long as you have mutual respect and admiration for each other. I don't think your Mom's point was that it wasn't important if you loved him or not, but rather that he have to work at it a bit....he needs to pursue you, court you, don't just hand it all over, for some reason, call it human (male) nature, they seem to value you more if they have had to work at it.

I agree with what your mum said because my mum said the same thing. When your husband loves you more,he'll want to do more to please you in the early stages. And as years go by, the love will balance with you feeling the same way.

This has worked for her as she has been married to the same man for over 30 yrs. Don't know if it still works.

sorry to say this but because im lucky enough to know what love is i would say you havent been in love yet because when you are neither 1 of you plays mind games with each other and you both need each other in life to be happy its as simple as that , when you are in love none of what you seem to be worrying about matters.
