You do understand that the word ALL implies each and every sinlge one without exception?

I am not married yet but have friends who are. There are 2 friends of mine that are unhappily married while the others are happily married. The two who are unhappily married are so because they chose to get married for all the wrong reasons. The ones that are happily married seem to have taken time out to get to know the person they are marrying and for the most part are equally yoked. One of my best friend I can say has found her mate and her equal. They are immensely happy!!!

So I am guessing that no not all American women who are married are depressed. And while there are some men who marry the mothering types I know at least a few people who are equally yoked and happy.

No. I read that stupid question, too. Probably just a young girl who has never been married. I'm no mother to my husband. That's too funny. We're pretty evenly matched, I'd say, and he is very independent and so am I. I don't need a father, and he doesn't need a mother. And he wouldn't have picked me if he did because I hardly ever cook and he does his own laundry. lol

Actually my husband and I consider ourselves best friends and are still in love after 14 years of marriage. We work together as best as we can, but still have the occasional disagreements like most married couples. He is gold, though, and I would not trade him for anything.

From where did you take such a silly statement??

I've been married for 24 years to the same and only man in my life, we have two kids. and to make the story short: My husband is the king of the house because *I* put him there, but I'm and I've always been the power behind the throne. ;-)

I am not depressed. My husband is loving and respectful. He loves that I have my own mind and I make no bones about speaking that mind. We don't always agree but we acknowledge each other's point of view.
He's on his way home from a 13 month deployment and I can't wait to continue our bond as a couple and as parents. He's my best friend and it will be so sweet when we are re-united again.

No it is not true. I am happily married and I don't stand behind my man. I stand beside him as an equal. He is my best friend and confidant.

I think as with anything else in this world it depends on the person and situation and you can't stereotype all of any kinds of person as being that way.

If you are married to the right person, it's great, not depressing.
