Well, no one had been able to sound "exactly" the same. But I think probably Green Day was closest.
But you've got a point with REO. I saw them a few years ago and they were very polished. But then, they ought to be since they've been doing those songs for 73 years!

Stone Temple Pilots sounded exactly like on the albums. Only on 2 songs could I tell any difference in a 2 hour set. That was a good concert but the best I have ever been to was the Flaming Lips concert. They are amazing live and sound much better than on their albums.

I've only been to two concert so i would say Linkin Park and Fort Minor. A really good start for me. I'm thankful i haven't waste any money to a concert which didn't sound the same (:

Most of the bands I like are BETTER live than on their albums!!
Springsteen, U2, Neil Young...Elton John for sure, Supertramp, I'm sure there are more but it's been too long to remember others.
