Actually I love the name Adrian. It's a lot better than Mike, Josh or Kevin. Those names are overused, and Mike sounds very middle-aged and old-fashioned.
Adrian is very masculine, and I love it.
Only a classy and smart mother would name their son Adrian, and don't be jealous just because your mother gave you some boring old name while some lucky kid got a cool one!

I would prefer Adrian, as the names Mike,Josh, or Kevin has been way over used...I alone know at least 10 guys with each of those names...but no Adrian's! I like names that I don't know anyone with the name, makes them more memorable!

When it comes to naming a baby, people have so many reasons for choosing what they choose. Perhaps it is a family name or a name the mother has loved for a long time. If you are having a baby, it is your choice. I knew a couple men named Adrien/Adrian and it suited them just fine.

Out of the names, my favorite is Kevin... it is my dad's name so maybe I'm partial.

Mothers like to be original and different. They don't really like to name their baby popular names that everyone names their own baby. The baby was the mother's miracle, and to show how much she loves the baby, she names it something different to show her love.
Names are what define us a person, and they are extremely important.
Adrian is a nice name, I really like that name. There is nothing wrong with it.
and anyways they are too many mikes, joshes, and kevins in the world. :)

Adrian is an okay name. Actually, I'd never name my son Mike, Josh or Kevin... because those names are WAY too popular. I'd use Sebastien, James, Lawrence... something like that.

i think Adrian is fine for a boy, as long as it's balanced out with a more masculine middle name, like Adrian Michael, Adrian Christopher,Adrian Joseph, etc. That way, if when he gets to High School he decides he wants a more masculine name, he could go by Mike, Chris or Joe. There's really nothing wrong with Adrian, though.

My family had a long line of men named Adrian. I was named Adrianne. I think it is a fine name. I see why you are mad, but some people don't like their kids having very common names. It is all about personal preference.
