Is there a replacement bulb or do you have to throw the tree out and get a whole new one?

If you can find the offending bulb without losing an entire strand, you can replace the bulb. Be sure to unplug the tree before removing the bulb, and replacing it with a workable bulb.

If all else fails, read the instructions.

When did you get the tree? I heard the prelit lights post to last forever or never go out. I read that when I was looking at christmas tree other day. I was thinking about the getting anew christmas tree but didn't I might get one when it goes in sale after christmas..

Replace the bulb - they're the same bulbs that are available everywhere this time of year.
