my boyfriend gave me a noticable hickey on my neck and I have to attend his sports banquet this coming friday. I planned on wearing a dress, but I might not be able to if this thing is still here! aside from cover up, is there anything else I can do to speed up the process of making it go away!?

oooooo, that can be embaressing if seen. First put some ice on it and a bit of rose oil or witch hazel. This stops the swelling. Then, Try covering it with a bit of concealer then dusting it with some powder. To make the redness go away dap a bit of visine on it. Its a product for eye redness but it really works. If these all fail, (must have a been pretty big) try fixing your hair to cover it. Or wear a decorative scarf or turtleneck. Good luck and have fun at your banquet!

p.s. could you please vote me as best answer?

If it is similar to a bruise, as others point out, then heat should work. I recently had a big bruise on my face and was very dilligent about putting a hot pack on it for 20 minutes at a time every 2 hours. It sure seemed like that made it go away quicker.

sorry but a hickey is pretty much the same as a bruise and there is really no way to make it go away any faster. Ice maybe... but there is really no way. Try to use alot of cover up and wear your hair over it. sorry i couldn't be more help and good luck.

Witch hazel on a cotton ball
warm wash cloth
You want good circulation to the area.
Then before the event, try a little prep-H gel before you put on make up. If that does not work, wear a decorative scarf and wear your hair down.

...or you can flaunt that little love bite and make all the other girls jealous.

try using a comb over the spot. It moves the broken blood vessles around and gets it to heal a LITTLE quicker. Its not magic and it will still take a couple of days, but it might help.

ICE, apply ice every chance you get. DO NOT let him do it again. IT'S SO TRASHY LOOKING. If it doesn't go away you may be wearing a turtleneck or scarf.

i herd that if you freeze a spoon for like 30 min. and then place it on the spot it would go away.
