hi all, I'm hoping to get married in Odessa, but among other things I need to provide a criminal records check, how do I get one ? any help would be great...

You can go to your local police station and ask for a Subject Access Form. You will need to fill this out and enclose a fee (currently £10) and send it off to Hendon (you will be given an envelope with the address printed thereon. The check usually takes between 4 - 6 weeks, depending on how busy they are.

go to your local council website. should tell you there. Either that or get in contact with Odessa officials and ask where they expect you to get one! Cost bout £30- £40 but come in useful for some jobs.

ask at your local police office/dept they will be able to point you in the right direction. ie give you an address to write off too.

the police wont give you one,(uk police) whoever wants it must request it from the police.
