The first one, because it wasn't about Rocky winning the fight. It was about Rocky proving to himself that he "weren't just another bum from the neighborhood" - inside AND outside of the ring.

Rocky 2,
the one he finally one the title and IMO worked his hardest and had his hardest fight against apollo creed...
was my personal favourite as the rocky film was already established, but had a fresh feel to it if you know what I mean.....I felt after rocky 3 however, it was all downhill from there....
rocky 6 was still a good 1 though!

It best illustrated the "eye of the tiger" idea about the mental aspects of the sport. Rocky lost because he became complacent. He then lost his confidence and had to find it by going back to the bottom to get hungry again. His mental game was just as important as his physical conditioning.

My favorite Rocky movie is the second one because Rocky was given a second chance to "go the distance" and he won. Also, because Mick was in it when he won the match. I cried when Mick died in the third one....
My least favorite one was the fifth one because Rocky didn't have a boxing scene in the whole movie exccept in the beginning with Drago.

I like 4 because of the soundtrack. Maybe we can send Rocky to Iran give them his "If I can change and you can change....." speech.
