Simply, no. It is just politics as usual. Some indeed may fall into that category, but for the most they are satisfied with outlets that pander to their own view.

Fox News is commonly known as Faux News for a good reason. Do some research and you will learn that Fox is owned by a prominent conservative and his channel pushes his beliefs via Bill O'Riley and friends. Fair and Balanced, no way!
Are you afraid or too lazy to do some research and evaluate the news from several sources?

It is opening the mind to possible alternative paradigms or explanations in a quest for the truth. The quest's journey takes one into unfamiliar territory where new knowledge is presented. Imagine what the world would be like if few skeptics challenged the established authority figures. Imagine, and I am afraid this is happening more and more often, if intelligent people lacking critical reasoning skills accept ideas and explanations without question as a consequence of their lack of understanding of scientific thought and inquiry. They may then fall for the advertisements that sell everything from male sexual potency pills to chi energy balancing devices (two brass tubes and a wire) that sell for outrageous sums of money.

Honestly, I would actually like to see a liberal media outlet because the corporate media is just not making it for me. Their political presentations are bland and largely uninformative.
The corporate media understandably protect the interests of their owners and advertisers. Hard hitting investigative reporting on the effects of corporate policies on average Americans would be counter to their interests. Fox News is just right-wing propaganda, a fact which is readily evident by just viewing it.

Why does the extreme right always call themselves average independent thinkers but their statements show them to be followers not leaders..

The left hates Fox News because it counters their long term monopoly on national media. Bringing Foxnews to the US is a coup for any and all Americans wanting the truth!

"House" is the only good thing about Fox.
Fox doesn't 'do' news anymore than Pravda did news under Khrushchev. They're simply a propaganda outlet.
