we have always had pot lucks at funerals in my family, thing is, I don't get why the deceased doesn't have to bring anything. Why does being dead give them an automatic out?? I think they could plan ahead a little and have something ready to go in the freezer so we don't have to carry their a ss. I mean, COME ON!!

Attendees tend to bring a dish or two to the home and them they often stay to share memories of the deceased with families and friends. Most times, you do not have to specify. It's just protocol that people will bring food.

I think it is the way....why is it not in your wake? Or I mean are you complaining? Got to make sure you have enough number of friends before anything happens...pot luck will be abundantly shared in...I assure you...wait ...don't try it now...I said earned first more friends....

Yes it is. The thing is, people are going to bring food to the family of the deceased anyway.
