What does '14K truglo' mean when inscribed on the inside of a ring?

i have a ring that was left to me that may be gold and appears to be set with three small diamonds. this has an angular, art deco style design and on the inside opposite the truglo inscription is what appears to be a copyright symbol (a small 'c' with a circle around it) engraved into the ring.

does anyone have any idea what any of this means?

I think it means 14 Karat Gold and Truglo (or Tru-glo) is a brand name.
